ITEM 3
Bare Organics Deodorant
This is the product that is the basis for the title of our newsletter! Bare Organics has developed an under arm deodorant that they are excited to label as ...wait for it....edible! I know! You would have to be pretty hungry, right?!
It, of course, is not recommended that you try it as a snack, but take comfort in the fact that the ingredients are all safe enough for ingestion, so they will be totally safe to use directly on your skin. So, in our opinion, this is a product that should be promoted to kids who are starting to become aware of personal hygiene. Tested as usual....and our verdict is fantastic! I found it was more effective for me than the other natural deodorants that I have tried. The only caution is that it does not go on the same as the standard deodorants, so it takes a bit of getting used to. The product is much softer than store brands because of its natural ingredients, so only dial up a really small amount for use. You may find that you will have to rub it in a bit too....but on the upside, it seems to last the entire day!
The deodorant contains: arrowroot powder (like the cookies), shea butter, coconut oil and aluminum-free baking soda. But, don't let the cookie thing fool you....it is not a tasty treat. Bear in mind that baking soda may irritate some people's skin, so it may not be for everyone.
Also, if you are pregnant or nursing, it is suggested that you stick to the unscented or the sweet options.
The deodorant is available in the following scents: Sweet, Woodsy or Fresh through What's In Store. Presently, we are not carrying the Unscented. However, if requested we can certainly start.
